Professor Sarah Mackenzie-Ross is an internationally-recognised expert in the psychological effects of neurotoxic chemicals. Sarah established the Neuropsychological Toxicology Unit at University College London in 2004. Since then, she has led numerous studies into the effects of common pesticides used in sheep farming, as well as into ‘aerotoxic syndrome’, following exposure to contaminated air on commercial aircraft. Sarah has recently authored a chapter on aerotoxic syndrome for the excellent book Rare conditions, diagnostic challenges, and controversies in clinical neuropsychology.
Sarah is a regular contributor to Neuropsychology training, conferences and media on the subject of neurotoxicity (and other subjects).
In 2020, Sarah was awarded the Distinguished Contribution to Practice award by the British Psychological Society, for her outstanding contribution to neuropsychology.
