Evan Brown

Self-employed in private optometric practice for the past 37 years, Evan has specialist interest in neuro-optometric rehabilitation from acquired brain injury, the impact of neuro-muscular delay in visual development, and the role of autonomic nervous system regulation in visual function. His optometric practice provides care with particular emphasis on delivery of vision therapy for developmental and acquired vision problems. He received a degree in Optometry in 1985. Has completed Fellowship with the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrist and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. He is co-lecturer of the ACBO Practical Vision Therapy Program, authored and lectures part 1 on visual care of concussion and mild ABI for the current ACBO Accreditation in Neuro-Optometric Vision Care. Authored the paper Anxiety, Distress and the Visual Process in JBO Jan 2019 after presenting the content as a lecture at ICBO in 2017. He is the current Past-President of ACBO.
